An excellent company that is rapidly progressing and changing
The good thingsIf you're really looking forward to a great career advancement, this is a very open minded place that is willing to give you the chance. They focus more on your willingness, effort & determination even your past experience might be a little off. Learning opportunity is wide. Office based staff are all now working from home.
The challengesRapid changes & progress in this company is not for those who really want to be laid back. You might find the rapid pace stressful. Time management is crucial in delivering quality work. You've to really plan for your work life balance.

    Working in Schlumberger.
The good thingsThe working environment is fun and less stress. Multinational and you may improve your communication and english skills by mixing around with people. Employees are really friendly, they smile and greet people a lot eventhough they don't know each other, our boss can be pur friend too. Pay is quite high.
The challengesAs a recruiting intern, what's challenging is the communication between recruitor and candidates. Some couldn't speak english. But it's a good thing, it helps me imrovise my skills in communicating with people. I don't think there's anything not to enjoy here. Though there's some stressful times, but mostly they're fun times where we joke with each other and laugh eith each other.

I was an intern here for 7 months in the year of 2014
The good thingsWonderful colleagues, located within city center, flexible working hours, high speed Internet, snacks provided in pantry, monthly hi-tea session, chance to work in laboratory.
The challengesLack of parking space for those who use their own transport, occasional pressure to meet unreasonable deadline, presence of ID card is a must even to use elevator or washroom

Good training ground but little human touch
The good thingsGoid training ground, good incentives package for sales
The challengesLittle human touch, little engagement, the engagement gap between the top leadership and ground staffs is huge, probably because the mid management are not properly trained to be people manager or leaders. Very task oriented, and little room to see big picture. A lot of expat in mid management, hence the sustainability of strategy is not long term.
