    Schlumberger...not as good as what you think
    The good thingsThe flexibility. The organization is not really focusing on the punch in and punch out time. The office environment is flexible and employee being treat like an adult with set responsibilities.
    The challengesAs a mid carrier person joining the company, there is no set development and carrier path like those who joint in fresh from Uni and being provided with a carrier development path. Mid carrier end up being the one who shares their experience but not really recognized by the company.

    The good thingsWilling to spend budget on training , expose to multinational culture , giving full responsibility for any task given. Have wide chances to present to stakeholder. Value good performer . Give full support for HSE related suggestion. For technical personnel - do have a special promotion system so that technical person wont lack behind than managerial post. Knowledge sharing among segments worldwide
    The challengesLayoff done when in downturn, too many expat in management. 3-5 years rotation service in managerial post causing management to focus on short term project only , it will cause management not to put focus in developing talent. No other benefit except basic salary.
