Great colleagues, anti social big boss thoughThe good thingsWeekly banquet by senior staff here, great teamwork and colleagues, always given chance to learn more by participating in more projects. Supervisor actually guides you, and even manager and the head function are super helpful and actually try to engage with you. Since it's a big company, you also got to learn about how different kind of businesses operate and what are their needs. Even in your own department, you have the chance to learn about other's jobs as well and able to support them.
The challengesSince I'm just a SL1M trainee, I wasn't given the chance to join some training, perhaps due to the cost. We're also always given trivial task such as decorating the department during festive season and holding informal activities for staff. The department is a lot like a library, people aren't socializing enough compared to another department of the same floor, probably due to the big boss who dislikes employees idling around. Big boss rarely engages with staff though he sometimes hold banquet for us, but he was no where to be seen. I'd wish for a cooler boss.
