Overall, I enjoy working here. This is the first company that gave me an opportunity in the Halal field after many rejections. I've learned a lot of new things, the salary is good, and the colleagues and work environment are great. I’m happy working here.The good thingsThe salary here is worth it. I’ve applied for similar roles elsewhere, but most offer lower pay. Here, the compensation is fair. Most importantly, there’s no disturbance after office hours, allowing a good work-life balance. My colleagues are also friendly. Initially, I was the only Malay employee in office, with the rest being Chinese, but that was never an issue. We work well together, and everyone is supportive.
The challengesBefore this, I had no experience as a Halal executive. I had studied and attended courses related to Halal, but I had never actually worked in this role. When I first started, there was no proper handover because the previous person had already left before I joined. So, in the beginning, I had to learn everything on my own and frequently ask questions. Thankfully, everything turned out well, and I learned a lot through this process.
