    Good place to experience working in Malaysia's corporate life
    The good thingsIt is a good place to experience working in Malaysia's corporate life. It will expose you on how to deal with management, internal and external customers. The best thing about the company is the benefits.
    The challengesThere is not much career development programme and career progression is slow. It is no possible to negotiate your salary despite how well you perform. The company culture could be improved.

    Lower than average salary with slow career advancement
    The good thingsTNB's welfare and benefits are tremendous and family-oriented if you are offered a permanent job opportunity. Panel medical institutions and virtually no capping for you and your family.
    The challengesThe annual salary increment more or less equals inflation value. Salary is below market rate. Promotion is limited; expect five years in a role before you are promoted to the next band (senior exec, so to speak). Then, another five years to reach a managerial position.

    The good thingsExpect many colleagues to be very competitive and good at their jobs. This will push you to unleash your own potential.
    The challengesMany of your colleagues are overseas graduates who received full TNB scholarship and keeping up with them can be challenging. Working with experienced highly technical personnel can be a challenge if you are new and have to administer them. Learn to be respectful and respectable.
