You'll learn a lot but also expected to give more.
The good thingsThe campus principal provides guidance and is approachable, friendly community and overall, a highly recommended place for one to work if you're looking to explore and learn.
The challengesThere are still some disparities in compensations between expats and local staff, and it's obvious. Some workplace drama is expected. You'll be expected to work more than what you've signed up for so only apply and accept if you're willing to go above and beyond. Lastly, increment rate seems fixed for most staff and there's no clarity or transparency if work performance or review will affect it. There is also no annual bonus.

Managing the library functions associated with books for both students and educators. This encompasses activities such as acquiring educational materials through resource cataloging, handling circulation, preserving physical collections, supervising student, managing reading resources and advocating library services to students and educators.
The good thingsThe workplace is evolving swiftly and exhibits a great deal of diversity. Nevertheless, benefits are merely regarded as experience and fail to enhance the value for employees.
The challengesA framework for overtime labor that remains uncompensated by the employer and fails to honor the employee's annual leave.

I found joy in the camaraderie of my colleagues, but the toxic culture quietly drained what fulfillment the job could offer.
The good thingsSupportive colleagues and friendship
The challengesThe Campus Principal: - Over-involvement: The principal monitors every detail, leaving little room for teacher autonomy or creativity. - No delegation: Tasks that should be entrusted to staff are tightly controlled, signaling a lack of trust. - Dismissive of input: Staff opinions are ignored, creating a one-way communication flow that stifles collaboration. - Intimidation tactics: Staff are led through fear of reprimand or public criticism, rather than mutual respect. - Unfair treatment: Rules or expectations may be applied inconsistently, eroding morale and trust. - Silencing dissent: Teachers may feel unsafe voicing concerns, leading to passive compliance instead of active engagement. - A pattern of high turnover, especially among veteran staff, suggests a deeper cultural issue—where loyalty isn’t valued, and departures go unexamined.

Think twice!!! No performance bonus and increment and no AWS!!!
The good thingsThere were few positive aspects during my time here, but I can highlight that the team generally worked in a cooperative manner. The HR Manager (a Malay lady) was particularly supportive and approachable throughout my time with the company.
The challengesThe benefits set by the Group were quite disappointing. There were no performance bonuses or annual salary increments, which impacted overall motivation.

Fulfilling classroom experience due to good students, but unrewarding as a whole due to the lack of bonus and increment.
The good thingsVery friendly and supportive colleagues. Most students are eager to learn.
The challengesNo proper appraisal system in place to reward good work. Bonus has since been taken away since being taken over by ISP. Increment is given to most staff on a percentage basis. No clear criteria is shared on how this is decided on. There is obvious disparity between local and expat staff. As a local staff, one needs to work harder to prove their worth.

TENBY SEP NO Increment nor Bonus
The good thingsgreat people and environment to work. Well behaved students
The challengesLocal staff are not being valued nor appreciated. No proper increment that can motivate the staff to stay on. When question, Management pointing finger back to the global group. No bonus nor extra benefits yet you will be expected to work above and beyond. Appraisal are done for the sake of paper work. No value added for the appraisal. Management do not bother as they find people move in and out of an organization is part of our culture. Good Luck!

    Unforgettable Experience
The good thingsIt is a new school, many opportunities to start off. Love the students there, eager to learn.
The challengesToo high teaching loads and other additional responsibilities for a teacher. Superior show less empathy when you voice out your concerns and needed help. Superior usually replied, everyone are the same also having that high loads, just want you to complete the work.

The good thingsThe good things are you get to learn a lot from the SLT & MLT Team of the school. They are always looking forward to getting better for children's learning experience and uplifting the teachers.

The good thingsOne of the good things in Tenby School is working as a team and a good environment. Second, can be improved our public relations with students. Third, Tenby was good facilities and good benefits. Fourth, have good security and safety area for students and teachers.
The challengesFirstly, In my last job, I took on many additional responsibilities over the years, I look forward to using my appraisal and publishing skills in this position. Secondly, I know your organization emphasizes setting high goals for each team, and I look forward to being part of a team that aims high. I have a lot of experience with teamwork and working on big projects with tight deadlines. My ability to work well in a team, and to manage my time, will make me a strong team member in this environment."
