My long-term goals to grow as an educator & climb up the ladder were unfortunately short-lived.
The good thingsFree carpark, able to make medical & professional development claims.
The challengesWorkload was tremendously heavy & not reflective of my salary, easily at least a 3-man show over time (mainly due to low manpower). One superior was too lenient (leading to passive leadership), while another lacked empathy in employee’s wellbeing & was micromanaging. Too many work politics & the higher management was mainly focusing on profit rather than the quality of education. In terms of promotion, despite having few years of the related field experience, the position was given to another employee who’s a fresh graduate. Gradually, the motivation to serve this company declined over time & resigning was the best decision to exit the unhealthy cycle of burnout & demotivation.

Fun working environment, but very aggressive sales target.
The good things- Can take day(s) off on weekdays - Very supportive head-of-department/manager and colleagues
The challenges- Unrealistic sales target from Board of Directors - No sales incentive - Some colleagues can be too competitive in regards to personal KPI

I really enjoyed teach them by not reading the slides but teach and share them the knowledges.
The good thingsAble to teach adult students and share knowledge during teaching and learning as i love teaching so much. Experienced making exam paper and marking exam paper for the course. They had so much fun with me and good engagement between us.
The challengesAdult students ask a lot of questions which are the questions is outside the box, related to other educational things so I need to mentally prepare everyday to answer their question professionally.

    Remarkable engagement with international staffs
The good thingsExpose to international staffing while at the same time learning more on the global culture which make us easy to execute the work well.
The challengesLanguage accent barrier as some international staff posses a strong accent while some time may lead to misunderstanding if we did not double check again with them

There's Pros and Cons in UCSI
The good thingsA University which abides with the policies to ensure the quality is on top of everything, flexibility of working hours and good relationships among the staffs.
The challengeshaving calculative colleagues and unfairness of job delegation. Always need to be standby even if you are taking Leaves and the expectation is extremely high to answer the supervisors' incoming calls.

Fresh grads can consider working here if you're willing to learn!
The good thingsThe people (the best!) and working experience (even though stressful). I definitely learned a lot (throughout my 2 years working here) in terms of marketing, event planning, converting sales and public speaking. This job is fast paced so multitasking is one of the good things that I have picked up. If you're looking for a job to learn more, be able to work independently and with a team and be out of your comfort zone, you can start from here.
The challengesThe workload is a little challenging towards the end. And I think the management could be a little better in recognizing the need for employees to take a break instead of working 7 days a week sometimes.

The good thingsThe people here are like family and we work very closely with each other. Procedure are all very much on hand and easy to understand and follow
The challengesThe management should understand staff more and think more of the staff benefit as well and not always into the company's benefit

    Execellent Career Development
The good thingsThere are ample of opportunities for an individual to gain his/her experience, not merely in the field of education, but others such as Human Resource, Management, and Legal. UCSI Education Sdn. Bhd. has given me so much which I could not have gained / learned should I have joined another entity. This of course, thanks to my immediate supervisor for he dedication and unfailing guidance.
The challengesThe lack of structured governance had at times caused certain actions to fail.
