    The good thingsTried a lot of departments under the UEM Group of companies. For the best culture, UEM Sunrise, Innovation would be UEM Edgenta, Cant say much for PLUS. Good benefits, understanding bosses. Try getting in and see if the department you are in is your ideal workplace, if not try to get a lateral transfer. You must know what you want before entering the company.
    The challengesCareer advancements and opportunities are low, you need to really outshine others to show. The lack of guidance from the bosses shows in the company. For someone to grow career wise, you will need to spend time on your own to develop your skills.

    Great experience as practical trainee for short-term working
    The good thingsworking environment, which is flexible in terms of both working hours and colleagues. Moreover, good guideline from the supervisor led the team work cooperatively and harmoniously. Because of that, any matters could be solved without have to argue as everyone understand each other well and does not give any burden to their colleagues. Thank you.
    The challengesdo some work other than just staying inside the office, like solving some cases by going to the field or other company so that trainee knows different management of solving different problem, not only from one company's view, but also looking at other companies perspective point of view.     It Was Amazing
    The good thingsThere was a lot of guidance, and kindness. The bosses were very friendly and made it very easy to approach them with any issue or questions. They take very good care of their employees, they make sure everyone feels welcomed. It was a very good interning experience.
    The challengesThere were times where time management was a little off; and things were done last minute. At times it also felt like there was a ton of workload placed on your shoulders with a very limited amount of time to complete. Maybe a better organisation of time or a chart/table to help make the timeline for the work less messy.

    The good thingsThe new experiences gained from the company allowed to improve my overall skills including new technical skills in civil engineering, business management & interpersonal skills. My employer proved to be a great mentor in assisting my general quality of work and aided me in proving to be better than what I am capable of.
    The challengesThe department I entered specializes in the Civil Engineering and Construction Materials industry which was separate from my qualified Business Management skills focusing more on Strategy and Business Development. However, I accepted the job as an intern due to this such reason which is to gain knowledge from outside my comfort zone.
