Managing a company with inexperience staffs
The good thingsEventhough most of the staffs have less than 3 years working experiences, they are loyal, hardworking and possess willing to learn attitude.
The challengesInsufficient manpower. With less than 2 years establishment, grooming of the right potential staffs needed. Resolved 2 problematic projects with more than 6 months delayed. One of the projects with serious financial constraint due to improper and not thorough business plan.

There is no shortage of hurdles to deal with but given a chance I'd go back
The good thingsThe MD chairs management meetings with all subsidiaries once a quarter basically to review the financial health of the company. Sharing of best practices among subsidiaries are also always in the agenda; very useful reference for us new managers. Support for continuous learning is good. Flexibility with work hours and incentives leading to a nice work-life balance is what I like best.
The challengesThe salary scale is probably lower than market rate at least for me. The training and HR development industry is highly competitive, thus the challenges I faced as the HOD is not awesome. The management could've supported me with more opportunities for guerilla style training to help me swim through the hurdles better; for example crash courses in sales and negotiation.
