Luxchem was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act on 4 September 1991 as a private limited company under the name of Luxchem Corporation Sdn. Bhd. Subsequently, on 3 August 2007, we converted to a public company and assumed the name of Luxchem Corporation Berhad since 2008.We are an investment holding company. Through our subsidiaries, we are a supplier of industrial chemicals whose principal business activities incorporate the following: -Marketing and distribution of industrial chemicals and materials; in 4 major industries: PVC, Rubber, Latex and FRP/Coating; andManufacturing of UPRs (unsaturated polyester resins); andProducing rubber latex chemical dispersions, latex processing chemicals, latex surfactant, dispersant & specialty chemicals for latex industry.Our history can be traced back to 1984 with the establishment of Lux Trading, a sole proprietorship. Lux Trading was involved in the marketing and distribution of industrial chemicals, focusing on synthetic rubber and rubber chemicals, UPRs, fibreglass materials and polymer-related products. As part of our expansion efforts, we established our presence nationwide by setting up marketing, distribution and warehouse centres, in Penang in 1989, and later on in Johor in 1991 and Perak in 1992. This was followed by our Group's expansion overseas through our Singapore subsidiary, which was established in 1992 to oversee the marketing and distribution of industrial chemicals in Singapore. Also, our Group has established two overseas subsidiaries in Indonesia and Vietnam in 2011 and 2015 respectively to continually expand our business in the region.In 1995, in order to increase our warehousing capacity and to centralise our administrative operations, we constructed a new warehouse on our 1.85-acre land in Port Klang, Selangor. Luxchem Polymer Industries Sdn Bhd was incorporated to undertake the manufacturing of UPR.Subsequently, in 1998, we commercialised our UPR, with an initial annual capacity of 3,000 tonnes, which to-date has increased to 20,000 tonnes per annum. In the same year, we also made our first export sales to Dubai for UPR. Our current annual capacity is 30,000 metric tonnes.On 29 April 2016, Luxchem Corporation Berhad acquired Transform Master Sdn Bhd, a manufacturer specialising in producing latex chemicals. The strategic acquisition has broadened and strengthened Luxchem's position in latex industry.Our marketing and distribution arm carry approximately 400 different types of industrial chemicals and materials. Since our inception in 1984, we have established our reputation in the industrial chemicals industry and have proven to be reliable in the provision of various industrial chemicals and materials, and UPRs and latex chemicals.We are the trusted name in Industrial Chemical Supplies!
