What’s it like working at Advisian?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Advisian appreciate the learning opportunities, especially for younger engineers to learn from knowledgeable process safety engineers, as well as the diverse, multiracial workforce. The company is seen as an ideal platform for career development, with a good plan to fulfil employees' learning curves. The higher management is described as down-to-earth and approachable, creating a fun yet challenging working environment. Employees also value the work-life balance, such as working a 4-hour day on Fridays and having flexibility with working hours, as well as the friendly, helpful colleagues.

However, some potential challenges include a high workload, with many projects requiring full commitment and tight deadlines that may necessitate working until midnight on certain days. There could also be more comprehensive training provided for new employees. Additionally, some concerns are raised about management issues, such as a lack of proper planning, indecisiveness, and a need for more competent leadership. With Advisian's main business being in the oil and gas industry, some employees note the industry downturn as a challenge. A few reviews also mention frequent restructuring within the company as a potential challenge.

The good thingsThe people working here are good and multiracial. This company is an ideal platform for career development. They have a good development plan and ensure your learning curve is fulfilled. The higher management of this company are very down-to-Earth and are easily approachable, making the working environment fun yet challenging.
The challengesThe pay can be increased as the starting pay is low. However, this was when oil prices were down, so excusable. No work-life balance as there are a lot of projects with tight deadlines and be prepared to work until midnight on certain days. More integration and team-building activities can be held to improvise the working atmosphere.
