The HistoryThe firm was established in 1975 by Tan Sri Dato' James Foong under the name of James Foong & Company. Occupying a mere 500 sq. ft. at the basement of Yee Seng Building at No. 15, Jalan Raja Chulan, Kuala Lumpur and with a supporting staff of 2, the firm has grown to a partnership of 3 partners, 4 qualified lawyers and about 20 supporting staff in 1990. The firm has moved to 12.01-12.08, The Heritage House, 33 Jalan Yap Ah Shak, 50300 Kuala Lumpur.In 1990, the appointment of Tan Sri Dato' James Foong as a Judicial Commissioner resulted in his compulsory departure from the firm. Subsequently, the two remaining partners decided to establish their own practice. The Senior Partner, Dato' Anad Krishnan formed the firm of ANAD & ASSOCIATES.In 1994, To’ Puan Noraini Kassim joined the firm as a partner and thereafter the name of the firm was changed to ANAD & NORAINI. To’ Puan Noraini Kassim passed away on 26th December 2000.With the existing base of clientele and staff, the firm is now firmly poised to expand its horizons well into the 21st century. The firm currently has three (3) partners, two (2) senior legal assistants, nine (9) lawyers and thirty five (35) staff.
