Toxic workplace with poor management, no work-life balance, low salary, and zero concern. The good thingsThe only positive aspect of this workplace is its location, as it is conveniently surrounded by many food stalls and restaurants, making it easier for employees to find meals during breaks. Other than that, there was very little to appreciate about the overall working experience.
The challengesLeadership and management were extremely poor, unsupportive, and highly unprofessional. There was no work-life balance, and employees were constantly pressured, overworked, mentally exhausted, and burnt out. Even when staff were genuinely sick, management questioned medical leave (MC) and pushed employees to work. Taking leave was also unnecessarily difficult.
Management and HR failed to support employees and cared more about clients than staff welfare and safety. The workplace culture was toxic, stressful, and lacked empathy. Employees were not allowed to bring phones onto the production floor, making communication during family emergencies impossible.
There was also little respect for Muslim employees, including poor accommodation for Friday prayers. The salary was extremely low and below market rate considering the workload and pressure. Overall, this was a toxic and unhealthy workplace, and I would strongly advise others to avoid working here.
