What’s it like working at Gamuda Land?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the friendly colleagues and strong teamwork at Gamuda Land, with many highlighting the supportive relationships they have built. The company provides valuable learning opportunities, allowing staff to gain experience and develop new skills. The benefits and perks are noted as worthwhile, particularly for managerial positions, and the work environment is described as energetic with clear project objectives.

However, there are some potential challenges, including concerns about management practices and leadership consistency across departments. Office politics can be present in the workplace, and career progression may be slower than expected, with promotion criteria not always being transparent. Some employees have observed that benefits have been reduced for lower-level positions over the years, whilst workload and deadline pressures can be significant during busy periods. Additionally, communication between management and staff could be enhanced with clearer two-way dialogue.

Don’t accept working here unless you’re truly desperate and have no other choice.
The good things-Benefits are fairly decent overall -Work colleagues
The challenges-Ongoing mismanagement, with too much focus on short-term fixes despite repeated feedback on long-term solutions. -Concerns around fairness in MSS and restructuring decisions especially at township base, which biased and not merit-based. -Cost-cutting efforts don’t seem effective, as too many senior roles (AGM/SM/M), with some overly reliant on subordinates. Restructuring should be more balanced instead of focusing mainly on executives. -Work environment can be quite toxic at times, with leadership contributing to unnecessary conflict. -Lack of professionalism and basic respect from some higher management, making it uncomfortable for junior staff and new joiners. -Promotions are perceived to be influenced by favoritism, and KPI standards vary between teams, leading to situations where some executives may be promoted despite being less competent than peers in other teams.
