What’s it like working at WPP Media?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at WPP Media appreciate the regular events and activities that foster networking and team bonding, along with exposure to diverse clients and the latest advertising technology. The positive culture is frequently mentioned, with staff valuing the openness, transparency, and mutual respect amongst colleagues. Additionally, flexible working hours allow employees to manage their schedules effectively.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. Some employees note that there is an expectation to learn on the job with minimal guidance, and training may not always be tailored to specific roles. Workload distribution can be uneven, with some teams experiencing heavier demands. The multiple layers of approval can sometimes slow down execution in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, parking facilities are limited and costly, and management expectations may vary between different agency leaders.

Not advise for those who want to start thier career in advertising. A place which it is no choice.
The good things1) Enjoy the event and opportunity to meet with vendors & learn 2) a lot free activity and good food to build bond
The challenges1) Too much internal politics and a very toxic culture of senior not guiding well 2) workload distribution not equal 3) On pretense of work life balance but work load is heavy 4) training not given by rank but using a blanket training to fulfill this criteria

Good learning experience if it's your first role in an agency.
The good thingsExposure to clients from different sectors and also opportunity to learn about the latest ad tech tools.
The challengesIt's not a minus but there is an unspoken expectation that you pick up know how on the job alone with minimal support from your seniors. Have dealt with new hires from other teams who burnt out due to lack of support or training.
