Iconic Medicare Sdn Bhd, IMED is a fully owned subsidiary of Iconic Worldwide Berhad, a public listed company listed in Bursa Malaysia.The total investment of RM155.51 million will be used for land acquisition of a 5.5 acres heavy industries land in Batu Kawan, Penang, construction of a new manufacturing facility and installation and commission of production lines.A total of 22 production lines comprising 12 glove-dipping lines and 10 mask production lines will be installed and expected to yield a minimum production capacity of 3.1 billion pieces of gloves a year and 222.7 million pieces of face masks a year inclusive of 12 million N95 grade disposable surgical masks.All facilities will operate according to world-class manufacturing standards with full quality control measures ensuring hygiene and safety requirements in order to qualify for ISO, CE, European Standards and ASTM endorsements. The qualification will put Iconic Medicare into an established manufacturer and exporter of high quality gloves and medical grade masks emblazoned with a proud ‘Made in Malaysia’ symbol.In Iconic Medicare, we emphasize on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) where all our manufacturing systems follow ISO 13485:2016, an International standard for Medical Devices Quality Management System.
