Terrible salary, high workload, no bonus, very low increment
The good thingsThe one good thing is that you have people here who are in the same boat as you and understand what you are going through.
The challenges1. Not appreciating employees. No bonus at all. Increment is extremely low (no increment for the last 3 years). 2. Very few opportunities for career development especially for local staff 3. No work life balance - workload is very high 4. No transparency, no clear salary scale, no career pathways, no clear appraisal system 5. Management does what ISP wants them to do. No room for staff voice. Not interested in listening to staff. 6. Benefits and perks lower than other international schools in KL and Selangor. 7. High turnover Think twice (and more) before you work in an organisation that does not value their staff.

Employer is more interested in numbers and money
    The good thingsWorking with students.
The challengesThe workload and expectations from the employer are massive and you are expected to do a lot. Salary is very little compared to the amount of work you are expected to do. No increment or bonuses. Heavy workload. No work-life balance as you have to bring work home.

    Horrible, money minded people
The good thingsThey pay above the market.
The challengesThis organization is profit driven. Any school ISP buys, ISP turns into a corporate money-making factory.

    Good school but low salary
The good thingsCareer development, Teachers are sent for training in a good place and trained by a group of professionals. Not micro managed by the supervisor, depends on which department you are in. Mine was under foreign language department and I had a very good immediate supervisor and my principal was a good person but had since promoted and transferred to another campus. Benefits wise - medical, training Flexibility - Unlike other schools that I have worked with, this school (Penang campus) allowed teachers to have lunch outside of the school. Teachers could go to do private tasks, ie to the bank, as long as not disturbing with the class schedules.
The challengesSome colleagues could be a pain in the a to work with. Just like any other company. Salary was not up to expected salary. Salary negotiation was not entertained, leaving me felt like unimportant, unappreciated and easily replaceable.
