    A rewarding sales role with great industry exposure and valuable learning opportunities.
    The good thingsWorking in LKGMY has given me valuable exposure to the metal industry, especially in zinc and aluminum alloys. I had the opportunity to participate in industry exhibitions and client visits, which helped me expand my network, strengthen my sales and communication skills, and gain confidence in handling customer enquiries. The supportive colleagues and collaborative working environment also made it easier to learn and grow, while the chance to develop new customers and close major deals gave me a strong sense of achievement and career development.
    The challengesThe role can be quite demanding as it involves meeting yearly sales targets, handling customer follow-ups, and ensuring timely deliveries and collections, which require strong time management and persistence. At times, managing customer expectations and dealing with market fluctuations can be challenging, but these experiences also pushed me to develop resilience, problem-solving skills, and adaptability in a competitive industry. The management direction can sometimes feel unclear, with limited focus on the Malaysia market and insufficient preparation when dealing with customers. Employees may also face uncertainty in job security, as decisions can appear inconsistent. In addition, the company does not provide yearly bonuses, which may affect motivation.
