What’s it like working at Lima Bintang Logistics Sdn Bhd?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Lima Bintang Logistics stands out for its excellent learning environment and professional development opportunities, allowing employees to gain comprehensive knowledge across various aspects of logistics. The company maintains a supportive, family-oriented culture with open-minded management who welcome new ideas, while providing structured training programs and mentoring support for both new joiners and existing staff.

However, employees should be prepared for a fast-paced environment with demanding workload that can impact work-life balance. The company's performance metrics can be demanding, though this aligns with their focus on continuous improvement and growth.

I appreciate the positive and supportive work culture the LBL provides. The colleagues are friendly
The good thingsTHE GOOD THINGS : For the first time I’m at LBL office HQ, I’m so excited with the decoration and structure in the LBL office. The structure with so nice and amazing with an open pantry, a small library with a big screen. Also have a massage chair. Wow, amazing 😊. Good impression for a new joiner. I’m grateful to be part of a company that prioritizes a healthy and encouraging work environment. The LBL team is so friendly, the management is approachable, and the workplace culture inspires productivity and personal growth.
The challengesTHE CHALLENGES : The technology and digitalization barriers are needed for modern systems like WMS, TMS but at LBL they provide a new system like SIMBIZ, INFOLOG and DING TALK. We need continuous training to handle the system in this company. Cybersecurity risks increase with digital dependence.

Enjoyable journey of internship for those seek in growing self career
The good thingsMy internship at Lima Bintang Logistics in the billing department has been incredibly valuable and rewarding experience. Throughout my internship here, I had the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to key billing processes, including managing subcon invoice after receiving, doing the daily invoice report, generate purchase order for item depot gate charge and many more. Working alongside a team of experienced and supportive professionals allowed me to learn best practices in logistics billing while developing my attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills. This internship not only enhanced my technical skills but also strengthened my professional confidence, work ethic and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. The practical experience here in Lima Bintang has prepared me for future career growth in finance and logistics.
The challengesThe challenges that I face along my internship is during the first month of internship. It was struggling on that time since I need to adapt on learning the company’s system and the tasks that be given by my supervisor. Especially in doing the daily invoice report. However, my supervisor and my team department here in Lima Bintang never leave me alone in doing my tasks since I am a beginner in this company. They never tired taught me a lot of new things for me to learn and more experience in logistics industry specifically in finance departments

Good learning place, but unclear KPIs and limited promotion.
The good thingsThere are a lot of things you can learn here. You can go from zero to hero as long as you're willing to learn. The colleagues across departments are nice.
The challengesKPIs don't make sense and aren't related to the department. There's no career growth or development—if you're loyal you'll often be the one who doesn't get promoted, especially as backend staff. Office politics is normal in any company. Newcomers usually get more than people who've been there a long time, even if the newcomers can't do the job. The "second man" policy doesn't work either. They promise the moon and stars but end up delivering nothing. Think ten times before accepting any offer—investigate and research first.
