    Kitchen Crew (Part Time)
    Jun 2025
Hilir Perak District PerakLess than 1 year in the role, former employee
Kitchen Crew (Part Time)Working as a part timer in MB, worst decision of my life, they couldn't even hire many staff to cover the kitchen and keep complaining about the output. They expect that you know everything without properly training you, such a bad move. Working as part timer, but forcing to work like a full timer. Excluding the staff meals but yet forcing me to do some extra time to work without respecting my clock out time. Not to mention the lack of rest time, 30min? what the heck. I couldn't even do my prayer because of it. Not recommended for long term career growth and your sanity. The Good side: -I learnt new things about how to do multi task and cooking process, and SOP Negative Aspect: -Lack of Staff, toxic co worker

The challenges30 minutes for break time is too short, bad management and stress environment coz of peak hour , short staff and out of stock

    So impressive
The good thingsTeamwork is there. Pressure to achieve target sales is good. Need more improvement in term of facilities maintenance and restaurants. Saw people coming to work only just one day, then no show, good so we can know who really want to earn money.
The challengesPoor communication inter/intra department. This need to improve as company claim to be no.1 in Malaysia and international, but lack of communication. Staff benefits , shifts meals, allowance, mileage claim (still like in 90's rate per KM) and working environment really need serious improvement. How to perform if only 1 or 2 Managers operate the restaurants.

    Experience..
The good thingsFast process. People some supportive, some are worst (politicking/gosipping) Need to understand a lot of things in a short time, and to meet management expectations. In a short term, its good to learn.
The challengesCompany need to take care staff welfare very well in order to retain the staff. Turnover very high for kitchen operator/staff lead the manager to cover their job until our own job not complete. No family time as too busy handling customer complaint, suppliers & operate the restaurants business
