You only can survive here if you come in through strong “cable” (connections).
The good thingsThere are limitless opportunities to learn new things and gain new exposure, making it a great environment for personal growth and skill development.
The challengesEmployees are being pressured to work very long hours, including after office hours and on weekends. The environment is heavy with gossip, highly political, and driven by favouritism. Everyone tries to build their own “cable” (connections), because without it you cannot survive. Some vendors, who are close friends of the boss, come in and shout at employees like they are dogs, often using the boss’s name to threaten and gain their own advantage. The company don't allowed long leave for travel and leave applications are often rejected. Even taking 2 days of leave can feel extremely difficult, as if asking for something impossible. Employees are expected to be yes-men and cannot say no. If you say no, your career progression will be halted, probation extended, bonus cut or removed or you may be asked to leave. The culture is very controlling and strict, in a wrong way.

The challenges- benefits and salary is lower than market (increment and bonus not much also) - politic issue among management - HR policies are overly restrictive
