As the guardian and custodian for music authors i.e. composers, lyricists and music publishers, MACP is a Collective Management Organisation (CMO) responsible for the administration of public performance rights and communication to the public rights, both known as 'performing rights', of our songwriter and music publisher members.Incorporated in 1989, MACP is a long-standing member of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC).MACP collects royalties by allowing music users to legally perform and communicate music in public, and distributes it to music authors and publishers for the use of their musical works.

Home for over 3 million local and international songwriters and music publishers.We are a dedicated CMO established to licence, monitor and collect royalties for the performing rights of musical works on behalf of our songwriter and music publisher members.MACP serves as the legal avenue for music users to have the necessary permissions to play, perform, communicate, broadcast, transmit, download or stream music legally in public, while also educate the public on the copyright of performing rights.
