What’s it like working at Nova Laboratories?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Nova Laboratories provides several appreciated workplace benefits, including free meals and parking facilities. Employees value the opportunities for professional growth and learning, particularly those early in their careers. The presence of supportive colleagues is frequently highlighted as a positive aspect of the work environment, contributing to a collaborative atmosphere.

However, employees face several challenges, including demanding work schedules that can impact work-life balance. The management style tends to be quite directive, with limited implementation of employee feedback. There are concerns about limited employee benefits, particularly regarding medical coverage and leave policies. New employees often find themselves working with minimal formal guidance or mentorship, which can make the initial period challenging.

-Not good -No OT -Last minute work -No safety -Low salary (not match with the position)
The good thingsFree breakfast & lunch only this good thing
The challengesDespite being hired as a Production Executive, I was assigned operator-level tasks from my first day. This was disappointing, especially considering my previous 3 years of experience as a Senior Production Technician at a large multinational company with strong ISO audit practices. Decision-making in production was sometimes influenced by individuals without direct operational roles, which affected workflow efficiency and professionalism. Another challenge was frequent interference from non-operational senior family members of management in day-to-day production activities. This sometimes disrupted workflow and created unnecessary stress for staff. Additionally, there were instances where these individuals did not follow standard GMP and hygiene rules, which could affect audit readiness and overall quality compliance.

The work experience is not ideal due to a strictly enforced quiet environment, a cautious HR approach, excessive work hours without overtime pay, and limited flexibility for leave. Micromanagement is prevalent, and employee suggestions are seldom implemented. Additionally, employees must cover their own medical expenses.
The good things1. Complimentary parking is available. 2. Free breakfast and lunch are provided. 3.Helpful clique.
The challenges1. A quiet working environment is enforced, and failure to comply may lead to management warnings. 2. Consider approaching HR with caution, as they may not always prioritize your best interests, particularly if they lack a formal background in human resources . 3. Employees are expected to work seven days a week, including weekends, with no overtime pay. Instead, replacement leave is offered but can only be taken when no colleagues are on leave, limiting its flexibility. 4. The company suffers from micromanagement. 5. Suggestions for improvement are requested but rarely implemented. 6. Working hours exceed legal limits, running from 8 AM to 6 PM, totaling more than 45 hours per week. 7. No overtime means everyone leaves promptly at 6 PM. 8. Medical expenses need to be covered by employees themselves. 9. All the positive reviews on this site appear to be fabricated, as employees are compelled to write them under pressure.
