What’s it like working at OCBC Bank?

    AI summary of recent reviews

OCBC Bank offers several positive aspects including a supportive colleague network, competitive benefits package with good EPF contributions, and comprehensive training programmes especially beneficial for fresh graduates. The bank has also adapted to modern work arrangements by offering hybrid working options, with some departments enjoying good work-life balance.

However, employees face certain challenges including a conservative and rigid management approach with numerous procedures to follow. Some departments, particularly sales and contact centre roles, experience high work volumes and pressure to meet targets. There are also concerns about career advancement opportunities and salary growth, along with workplace dynamics that can impact employee motivation.

    Challenging Work Environment
The good thingsThe internal software system and support are efficient, but beyond that, there’s little to appreciate about working here.
The challengesThe work environment is deeply stressful and often feels toxic. While there are anti-bully policies in place, their enforcement is questionable, allowing unhealthy dynamics to go unchecked.
