Employees appreciate the flexible working arrangements at Standard Chartered, including work-from-home options and schedule flexibility. The supportive colleagues and understanding managers contribute to a friendly and professional environment. There are valuable learning opportunities through exposure to global banking operations, diverse products and services, and training programmes. Employee benefits are highly rated, featuring generous annual leave, excellent medical coverage, bonuses, and additional EPF contributions. The overall work environment is positive, with strong staff engagement and good workplace culture.

Salary levels and increments may not always align with workload expectations, with some employees reporting limited annual increases in recent years. Career advancement opportunities can vary significantly depending on the team and job grade, with progression sometimes requiring considerable effort. Workload can be demanding, with occasional long hours and delivery pressure, though many employees find it manageable. World's Top Bank with Child Play Tech Department
The good thingsRelatively high starting salary, superb number of annual paid leaves, seasonal workload, and extra employer-EPF contribution, flexible working arrangement, shuttle bus services between office and selected LRT stations.
The challengesSubpar management run by mediocre people, promote formalism at best, always speak louder than action. No room for career progression, no salary increment regardless company performance. All projects are managed like a child play, every now and then there are meetings to condemn engineers of their degrading project quality, no real action or solution ever been taken. Then they will fund new projects to improve quality, which of course are destined to fail miserably because no discipline and standards were being established and followed. The whole tech department is a good laughing material, I don't recommend for fresh hires.

The good thingsAdvanced system . Finance handling experiences
The challengesLow pay which doesn't match up the workload given - increment being cut or no increment provided every year for the hard work being carried out . Unfair no career advancement. Worked so many years but not being treated appreciated

The good thingsNone. Called an international bank but they pay terrible and not worth with your workloads
The challengesSystems really unreliable. Stone aged system. No increment since PKP. WORK LOAD getting higher but no increment. Not recommend.
