What’s it like working at Suria Component Manufacturing?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the supportive management, particularly the Directors and MD who help develop staff skills, and the friendly working environment that creates a family-like atmosphere. Staff relationships are positive, with colleagues being helpful and willing to assist across departments. The company organises engagement activities such as Annual Dinners, team building, and CSR programmes, and provides lunch as a valued benefit.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as salary levels and yearly increments that may be lower compared to industry standards, and promotion opportunities that can take time to materialise. The workload can be heavy at times with last-minute tasks and cross-departmental responsibilities, whilst communication flow and information sharing across departments could be enhanced. Some employees have noted that meetings can be lengthy, and there are opportunities to improve work-life balance through better management of overtime, particularly for non-executive staff.

    Just try maybe lucky
The good thingsTeam is good but most junior exec with many years not getting promoted, lunch provided
The challengesSalary is too low compared to other companies in the same industry. Yearly salary increase is very small, even when you work hard. Workload is too heavy. Sometimes doing tasks from other departments too. Some managers push their work to others without solving the problem themselves. Hard to get promoted unless you’ve worked there a long time, even if you do a good job.
