It was generally a decent experience, but I definitely had a much higher expectation on this firm despite that it is only a medium-tier accounting firmThe good thingsHelpful and kind senior staff personnel (i.e. Senior and Supervisor leveled staffs) and colleagues and great exposure towards a variety of industry that the clientele is involved in.
The challengesLess-than-average job segregation amongst the audit teams (For instance, one team could be involved in auditing 5 to 7 large portfolios whilst another team could be involved in only 2 to 4 portfolios within a year), oppressive environment from the higher management, awful timing of reimbursement for travelling claims and last but not least, the firm is filled with a number of high-level personnel (i.e. Principals) that are extremely lacking decent people skills and basic communication skills.
