    United International Pictures (UIP), formed in 1981, is jointly owned by its Partners, Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures. Since its formation UIP has distributed over 1,000 films including more than 100 Academy Award® winners under licence from its Partners across the world. UIP continues to bring many of the most exciting films made today to international cinema audiences.

    It was an eye opening industry.
    The good thingsThe only thing good thing about working here is that if you have a passion for movies, then this is the place for you. You get to have basic knowledge about movie publisihing in Malaysia like brand partnership, promotions, publicity and last but not least, you get to have a strong networking with a lot of people.
    The challengesManagement here is below average. There's no straight forward SOP here for all job scopes and there's no career advancement. A micro-managing management.

    Good experience but...
    The good thingsThere is good leadership and you have autonomy. There is usually little micromanaging. The staff are good ppl and there is little politicking. The company is small and there is sense of togetherness.
    The challengesThe company is small. There is little room to grow after a while. The management can be ungenerous and performance is not tied to remuneration.
