    A good learning place
The good thingsA dedicated team of staff and a great place to learn. You will like it if you're looking for a stable position.
The challengesTop management's leadership style is rather incompetent to bring the University College to higher level. Lack of personal growth.

Worse place for achievers, great place for passing time
The good thingsFlexible working hours Eight to three for the lecturer and normal working hour of nine to five thirty for support staff include management. Similar stress level for lecturer, support staff, and top management. Friendly colleagues creating a homelike environment but sometimes may lead to lack professionalism especially for frontline staff in the eyes of customers. Company provide free lunch celebration for all staff during festive seasons throughout whole year and free lunch during weekend work on open day.
The challengesPay is below market value for most of the position including lecturers, support staff, and management. Most staff lack fighting spirit thus definitely not a goal oriented culture. Company culture is on the kiasu or kiasi type where one have to bear full responsibility on idea suggested rather than togetherness. This led to most idea being suppress rather than expressed out. Most achievers left while remains are mostly no where to excel. Growth strategy for the company is hardly achieved given the decision making is wrongly done due to mismatch talent in most of the position in the company. Don't emphasize high hope on bonus and incrememt as achievers are rewarded less than a month and between one to three percent increment for last year. It's pretty normal for settle down staff but not for strivers personality type.

    More good than bad.
The good thingsFlexible working hours thus this allows you to have a great work-life balance. Also a great place to focus on pursuing further studies while working (Masters/PhD). Good environment. You get to go for a lot of useful training be it internal or external.
The challengesAcademic staffs also have to take part in marketing events together with the marketing staffs, thus sometimes, you have to work on weekends.

My first teaching experience in IPTS.
The good thingsGood things: 1) Friendly colleagues.
The challengesDear management team, 1) Don't get too obsessed with student numbers. Lecturers are not responsible for student numbers, but the management does.

A company that thinks that everyone is replaceable
The good thingsPolitic is pretty low among staff because everyone has the same frustration towards the higher management
The challengesA lot of empty promise, black and white turns out to be different from discussion. Workload calculation was off and ask for the impossible.

Everything is depend on your own
The good thingsCheering working environment, not many restriction but you have to behave yourself cause you will get to learn how to handle your own role and other's role by helping others. Nice colleague and cool working hours.
The challengesEverything has to handle by your own, even the job at other's hand. The timeline of every task can be very tight, yet from time to time there will always be a very urgent task to slot in the timeline will cause the original plan delayed.

    A challenging training ground
The good thingsIt's a friendly workplace with little office politics, so you get to concentrate on improving your craft at teaching. The pace can be relentless at times, but it's a good all-round training in time management, building rapport with colleagues and students, administrative paperwork, curriculum development, CQI and a bit of research work (if you can find time for that).
The challengesTeaching power planning could be improved to avoid burnout among teaching staff. Although \"customer is king\" is becoming the trend in the private education industry, there still needs to be a line drawn between kowtowing to students and parents, and doing what's right in facilitating an effective learning process.

    Employee's benefit.
The good thingsThis is a company that provide decent benefit to their employee such as, holidays, lunch/dinner treats, cash appreciation and leniency.
The challengesMy only challenge there is the department management still in primitive mind, they don't accept changes, favoritism policy and they want 'YES MAN' to work under them. This is what happened when you have too old and too long service person there in power!

    Overall
The good thingsThey concentrate in training staff to be super efficient. Always have gathering for any form of festive seasons. Training programmes were not limited to just a particular group of staff. Extra benefits were given to staff who can perform.
The challengesTimeline limitation to perform further. Immediate superior is not cooperating to work together. Thus, no guidance given. She uses autocratic words for staff in a work task. Immediate superior not listening to problems rather just by lending ear and not presented to the management.
