    You may not do the role as pharmacist as you think and you need to have good selling techniques
    The good thingsCompany provides dental and optical allowances and 13th month contractual bonus
    The challengesNo assistant helping so you need to take care everything by yourself. Hours of working until night 9pm. Improvement need to be added on staff role and designated job scope but not grey area. Work alone as pharmacist with no assistant so I need in charge of both poisons and non poisons (supplements), and others. I need to do stocks replenishment and change of planograms almost weekly sometimes with major shift of products (fast pace). Also, I manage stocks inventory (prepare for stocktake twice annually sometimes maybe more), audits quarterly and chase for sales (report), health services and store staffs products knowledge(supplements). Besides, I have to make sure the pharmacy counter and planograms display are up to standard and match the criteria. And most weekends need to work

    As someone who is quite extroverted and organised in way, it is definitely a fun job that required good communication skills. Legs might hurt from standing for a very long time haha.
    The good things1. Friendly staffs / colleagues 2. Provides benefits such as EPF and SOCSO. 3. Salary is quite high compared to most part time jobs' salary. 4. 1.5 hours break. 5. Can be quite fun if you're the type that like to arrange things and interact with people.
    The challenges1. Really long hours to work if part time (around 10.5 hrs) 2. Must always be ready to assist the customers at all times. 3. Must know almost every details of the products selling at least in 3 days for better working experience.

    Average experience and no work life balance
    The good thingsLess support from employer when customers are being rude. Just gave orders and not much guidance. Very tiring job. Some days not much of work usually when little customers but if weekends or holidays too much work to do. The salary was less for the amount of work I did so its a bit demotivating.
    The challengesProvide proper training and not just scold when mistakes happen. Encourage workers more and don't put too much pressure to sell membership card. But its a great experience for SPM leavers to learn about sales and other works but need to be independent.

    The good thingstrained to be independent in short notice of time and multi-tasking, the co-workers are great and it helps to build the team spirit values, and the kind gestures and compliments received from customers, a good platform for fresh graduates as it also helps to build one's confidence as we need to engaged with many peoples in daily basis to not only help them with their inquires but also to promote the store promotions in order to boost sales and achieve sales target

    The good thingsIt's a good place to learn new things in retail. You can meet a lot of great people and the staffs are friendly too. You understand how the products function so it's an advantage for you to recommend to the customer.
    The challengesThe salary sometimes is too low maybe that's the reason why some staffs leave the position. The products come everyday and if that day the store is lack in staff so we can't concentrate to replenishment and help the customer.

    The good thingsUnless it is time for new promotion, which involves changing the product arrangements for the whole store. Working here involves light work of assisting customers, stock update and count and simple management tasks such as double checking and updating the price tags. Closing also not that heavy. Only requires you to do basic cleaning of dusting, sweeping and mop. Not as heavy as F&B.
    The challengesDepends on the outlet, there are outlets with super fussy customers. Customers also tend to flock the store when we're about to close which is usually after dinner time for them. Be mentally prepared to close the store 10-15 minutes late for customers that stayed only for them to leave not buying anything.

    The challengesAs we know when we work on retail there have a big challengers for us .. example we have to front with customer and we need to know how to control our patients.. but the most important thing is customers wil always no 1, no metter how you tried to be polite and respect to them .. we just put our face on their shoe .. so that we can have more experience when you know how to handle it..

    The good things-improve my skills in management, customer service, communication, beautician, grooming, healthcare, and product knowledge. How to facing suppliers, handle customer's complaint, receive/return stocks to warehouse/suppliers.. Besides i get positive spirits to fight and try my best to lead my team reach the KPI ' s target!
