Troubled Senior Leadership TeamThe good things-brilliant teams working on the ground.
-conservation goals and strategies are well planned, clearly visioned and have wonderful people working on protecting the landscapes they work on.
-people in general, are nice. some times have really good supervisors and mentors, such as the one I am working with currently.
-the word teamplayer is important, and general staff know how important this is.
-they have a work from home policy, that can be better, but it is still something nevertheless.
The challenges-senior leadership does not understand the conservation direction or goals clearly enough, and prefers to make decisions without consulting or informing staff/employees on major changes in direction.
-in this time and age, the organisation prefers to practice a more corporate, top down approach (probably due to the fact that most of senior leadership comes from that background).
-it is becoming increasingly difficult to have dialogues or open conversations with senior leadership team.
-the direction that is being taken now is contradictory to the conservation strategy that has been carefully planned, and therefore stands a chance to actually jeapordise what has been worked on for so long.
