What’s it like working at Gleneagles Hospitals?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees value the opportunity to gain extensive clinical experience and develop a variety of nursing skills at Gleneagles Hospitals. Colleagues are supportive and friendly, creating a collaborative and team-oriented atmosphere. Staff also appreciate the medical benefits provided, including free treatments, and many note the friendly working environment with good relationships between team members.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. Workload can be heavy, with understaffing issues in some areas leading to long shifts, particularly in ward and ICU settings where staff may work 14-17 hours. Some employees feel that salary and benefits may not always reflect the workload, with increments below inflation rates. Career progression opportunities may be limited, and some staff have expressed concerns about management support, feeling that there is more focus on revenue than staff welfare. Additionally, work-life balance can be challenging in certain roles due to long hours and difficulty taking annual leave.

The job itself is okay, but company cultures are very bad.
The good thingsThe job itself is great. I enjoyed working as who I am.
The challengesThere are lots of challenges here. First, employee's benefits. Although we do get free treatments here, but the staff nurses and doctors are not friendly to the staffs. They do not respect staff's PDPA and often delays treatment for staffs. Second, they practice blaming cultures and no action taken even after they did the mistakes. Third, salary increment is 100% based on year of service without taking into consideration of staff's performance (that means some incompetent "senior staff" would get higher than those junior staffs).

Dedicated to providing clear, helpful, and thoughtful guidance to inspire meaningful solutions and conversations.
The good thingsSure! If you’re asking about what I like most, I’d say I really enjoy helping people create and share ideas—whether it’s through writing, brainstorming, or problem-solving. I find it really fulfilling to contribute to something meaningful or even just have a good conversation!
The challengesI’m not a fan of when communication gets tangled or when things are unclear—especially if it leads to confusion or misunderstandings. I think clarity is key, so when things are vague or don’t make sense, it can be frustrating.
