Established in 1992 as a centre which provides counselling on options to school-leavers and young adults seeking advice on further education and training. This was more than thirty one years ago when education opportunities were limited and information centres did not have adequate resources to advise parents and students on further education opportunities for both high-achieving and vocationally inclined students.JM Education Group Sdn Bhd (JM), headquartered in Subang Jaya Selangor, has a network of 9 offices throughout the country servicing students & parents from West and East Malaysia. Other strategically located offices are in Penang, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Johor Bahru, Skudai Johor, Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan. We have a team of experienced multilingual counsellors to guide students through the entire process of arranging their study overseas in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, USA, Canada, Europe as well as locally in Malaysia. As an industry pioneer and market leader, JM celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2022!

I really appreciate the company sending me and fellow colleagues to attend overseas university training trips in Australia and the UK.

Lack of mentors in this company
The good thingsFriendly and helpful colleagues, exposure to new knowledge in the industry almost everyday. Occasional product trainings. Really nice CEO and GM, they understand the employees’ needs
The challengesNo basic necessities in the office (eg water dispenser, microwave etc it’s hard for us cause we bring packed lunches). lack of mentors in the branch I work in, it’s hard when you’re new to the company and have minimal ideas on how to consult students and parents, or do not possess much specific product knowledge about the universities and courses, manager would just mind their own business. Low incentive for each client in exchange of tedious follow up tasks. was told to have overseas trip but it’s tied to a one year contract every time you’re chosen to travel overseas. Only one rest day (sometimes no rest day during peak season)
