What’s it like working at Lam Soon?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the comprehensive benefits package at Lam Soon, which includes contractual and performance bonuses, monthly company products, medical coverage, and educational bursaries. The company is recognised as a stable FMCG organisation that has provided support during challenging times. Many staff members find their colleagues supportive and willing to share knowledge, and value the flexible working arrangements, including work-from-home options.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. Employees have noted that internal processes can be manual and outdated, with automation still in progress in some areas. The multiple layers of approval required for decisions may result in longer timelines for project completion. Some staff have mentioned the presence of office politics and that communication and direction from management can sometimes be unclear or change frequently. The workload can be demanding, with expectations to multitask and occasionally handle last-minute requests, and onboarding processes could provide clearer role expectations for new joiners.

Urgent, or minor matter still do require multiple layers of approval, result in delays resolution.Prolonged approval processes from managerial, combines wif a cumbersome internal system caused delays reducing productivity. Improvements and updates take years to commence to implement, employees need to follow outdated rules which not fit current needs. The minor progress must go through long review cycles, while other companies move faster and gain advantage.
