Listen to employee feedback and stop dismissing genuine concerns. Treat all staff fairly, recognize overtime, and prioritize safety and wellbeing. Hire proper HR with the right knowledge to manage people professionally. The good thingsGained some hands-on experience, although the work environment can be quite challenging
The challengesThe biggest challenge is the lack of concern for employees’ wellbeing. Management often dismisses feedback and concerns, and decisions are made without listening to staff on the ground. Overtime is not recognized, and workloads are unfairly distributed, with certain staff being exempted from heavy tasks. HR lacks the proper knowledge to manage people, which leads to poor handling of welfare matters. Field staff are sometimes forced to return to the office immediately after long hours of travel and site work, even when exhausted. Unfortunately, employee safety and welfare are not prioritized — accidents or incidents on the job are rarely acknowledged or compensated. This makes it difficult for employees who sacrifice their time and energy to feel valued or cared for.
