What’s it like working at SARAWAK OIL PALMS BERHAD?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at SARAWAK OIL PALMS BERHAD appreciate the opportunities to learn and gain valuable experience, especially for fresh graduates in the oil palm industry. The company is commended for its friendly and family-like environment, with a good team spirit and positive employee interactions. Management is described as transparent, supportive, and providing opportunities for growth and flexibility. Additionally, the company offers good benefits to employees, including bonuses and annual leave.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. Working in remote rural areas can present difficulties, such as lack of company-provided transportation, food, and drinks, as well as the need for four-wheel-drive vehicles to access certain areas. Some employees have noted that facilities, particularly in remote areas, could be improved. Certain roles, such as Customer Sales, may experience a heavy workload with expectations of overtime and weekend work. While the company is praised for its benefits, some employees feel that the salary, especially for lower executives, could be more competitive.
