What’s it like working at ServiceRocket?

    AI summary of recent reviews

ServiceRocket employees frequently praise the great culture that puts people first and encourages growth and learning through initiatives like Hackweek. They appreciate the amazing colleagues they work with and the good work-life balance offered. The visionary leadership and transparency from top management are also highlighted as positives.

However, some challenges include collaborating across different time zones with customers and partners, as well as opportunities to improve two-way communication on the company's direction. In certain areas, product management and alignment with engineering could be improved. Additionally, while learning is encouraged, some feel vertical growth opportunities within the company can be limited.

This is one place that's truly care about the People
The good things- Great culture, where the organisation puts the People first - The company encourage growth, not just for the business, but also empowering the People (continous learning, trying out new things, etc), and the customer. - Truly lives up the motto "WE’VE GOT YOUR BACK!" - Hackweek every quarter
The challenges- customers and partners in different timezones

While engineering practice was good, it lacks product direction and misaligned value
The good thingsThe engineering culture and ways of working allows engineers to spend time to learn. Practice and CoP were driven by engineers, albeit engagement with wider group of people could be improved.
The challengesNot enough transparency from C-level management and hence, the messaging doesn't really propagate well to wider people. While townhalls were there, but, leadership team doesn't promote much 2-way communication on where the company is leading - causing misalignment of expectations. Potentially related, some area of product management was very lacking in direction too. Company acquired LMIS product to enrich existing portfolio. Vision was not clear and hence, product direction was chaotic. While engineering took the work and execution, It leads to poor outcome as expectation were misaligned (example: in term of engineering decision -vs- product vision). Along with heavy competition in the space, they lose and totally pull out from LMIS marketplace. My impression on product management as Atlassian plugin vendor was good, albeit doesn't innovate much. It seems to suffer similar consequence where they started to sell their Atlassian plugin business to a competitor. Lastly, the company is not quite sensitive with recent unfortunate events happening in the world. For a company that pretend to want to grow together, I wish they grow with the right values and being a good human being living in this world.

    Awesome place to work
The good thingsCompany culture is great with good company leadership. The transparency level from the top management and the trust given to the team is worth mentioning. Great, visionary and friendly CEO too.
The challengesAt times, mistakes and failure happens, which is fine. But, it would have been better if the teams learn better from the failures.
