What’s it like working at Telekom Malaysia?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Telekom Malaysia appreciate the friendly and supportive colleagues who are always willing to help and share their expertise. The working environment is described as relaxed and positive, with a good company culture. There are excellent opportunities for learning and development across various departments, with managers who are willing to teach and train. Employees also value the benefits package and the work-life balance supported through flexible working arrangements, including working from home options.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. Some employees have noted concerns about salary increments and limited opportunities for permanent positions, particularly for contract staff. There can be uneven workload distribution between different employee types, with periods of high pressure and inconsistent work volumes. The use of outdated systems and technology can affect work efficiency. For sales roles, challenging targets may require extended hours or weekend work. Additionally, some management processes around leave approval and inter-departmental communication could benefit from improvement.
