What’s it like working at W&W Architects?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at W&W Architects appreciate the learning opportunities, particularly for those in the design team who can learn about design and work directly with the boss. Senior staff and architects are supportive in completing tasks and managing projects. Employees also have the opportunity to be exposed to various aspects of architectural work, such as design, software, presentations, drawings, and site supervision.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as a high workload with tight deadlines, sometimes requiring extended working hours into the night, particularly for the product team. There are also resource constraints, with fewer staff assigned to large-scale projects, leading to increased workload. Employees have noted issues with compensation and benefits, such as lack of bonuses, delayed EPF contributions, and delayed reimbursements for expenses like mileage and tolls. Additionally, there is a segregation between design and project teams, with limited opportunities for all staff to experience different projects.

learning process in average stage, depends in what team you are. In my case I learnt a lot in design work. but less in technical aspects.
The good thingsIf you are in design team :- - you learnt a lot about design. -you will deal directly with boss. If you are in product team (playing with autocad and meetings etc) -workload are higher since less staff are applied for large scale project (hospital - 6 staff only) -dateline are every week. -some staff did not give full commitment. -working hours are extended until night.
The challenges-less benefit, no bonus, late EPF (delay for 3/4 months). -to work up to your boss expectations. -delay claims (mileage, tolls, etc) -company own no transport, staff are using their own transport to go meetings etc -working hours extended until night. -short dateline notice

A good start for me for my first job to gain experience on working in an architectural firm.
The good thingsVery cozy environment and friendly colleague to work with. Senior staffs and senior architects very supportive in completing tasks and job management.
The challengesSegregate between design team and project team. Should give opportunity for all staff to experience overall company projects. A job cycle from projects to projects should get the team motivated.
