Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning network, founded in Canada in 1971 by a group of environmental activists. Greenpeace focuses its campaign on worldwide issues such as climate change, deforestation, overfishing, commercial whaling, genetic engineering, and anti-nuclear issues. It uses direct action, lobbying, and research to achieve its goals. The network comprises 26 independent national/regional organizations in over 55 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, as well as a coordinating body, Greenpeace International, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.Greenpeace opened its first office in Southeast Asia in 2000. Since then we have led successful campaigns throughout the region, securing fresher air, cleaner water, and a healthier environment through changing industry practices and government policies. Greenpeace actively campaigns across the region on pressing environmental issues concerning our climate, forests, oceans, food, plastic, liveable cities, as well as social justice.Greenpeace has four offices in Southeast Asia (GPSEA)—in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand, each office is composed of Programme Department (Campaigns, Communications, Public Engagement & Actions), Fundraising, and Operations Support (Human Resources, Finance & Administration, Information Technology, Security). Currently, Greenpeace Southeast Asia employs nearly 200 staff across the region, excluding the Direct Dialogue Fundraisers. To remain independent, we have a policy of not accepting funding from companies and governments and therefore only accept donations from individuals and private foundations.Greenpeace Southeast Asia (GPSEA) offers you a variety of challenging opportunities to grow professionally. Collaborating with talented and passionate professionals, you will address the planet’s most pressing ecological issues and mobilize citizens, corporations, and governments to change.

You are not working for Greenpeace actually, you are working for other company to collect donation and the company will pass it to the real Greenpeace.
The good thingsYes, we did pitch about Greenpeace it feels like we are doing the NGO things even though you just go to the public to gain donation and never arrange any event related to this such as cleaning the river or whatsoever.
The challengesThe company is not being visible. They hide the company profile and also they did not represent the Greenpeace alone but also other NGOs like Unicef. The wages are not worthy enough especially when the company located in the Centre of Kuala Lumpur.
