What’s it like working at Grab?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the flexible working schedule at Grab, which allows them to manage their time effectively and balance personal commitments. Drivers value the opportunity to interact with diverse customers and meet people from various backgrounds, enhancing their communication and customer service skills. The freedom to work independently and travel to different locations is highly regarded, along with the platform to generate income consistently through effort and dedication. Additionally, employees note opportunities to develop valuable navigation, time management, and interpersonal skills through their work experience.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as heavy traffic and congestion affecting travel time and efficiency during peak hours. Employees note that income can fluctuate based on demand and hours worked, with no earnings on days off. Dealing with different types of customers can require patience and adaptability at times. Some drivers mention the absence of traditional employment benefits such as EPF contributions and allowances, and indicate that fare rates and compensation for long distances or traffic delays could be improved. Corporate employees note that the fast-paced environment and management practices require adaptability and resilience.
