It has operations in Malaysia, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, USA and Mexico, with an annual group turnover of approximately RM20.4 billion (US$6.7 billion).The Lion Group started its first rolling mill in 1978 and ventured into upstream steelmaking with the establishment of a Steel Meltshop in 1982. Since then, it has steadily expanded its steel operations to become one of the major producers of long steel products namely billets, steel bars and light sections.Fuelled by the country’s economic growth and development, the increasing demand for steel has led to the Group’s venture into the flat steel products industry with the establishment of Megasteel Sdn Bhd.
