What’s it like working at Percetakan Nasional Malaysia?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate that colleagues are friendly and helpful, creating a supportive working environment at Percetakan Nasional Malaysia. The company provides timely salary payment, which is valued by staff, along with medical benefits and insurance. Employees also value the learning opportunities, particularly gaining knowledge in the printing industry and experience working with government clients. Additionally, the flexibility to take leave is noted as a positive aspect of employment.

However, there are some potential challenges, including concerns about management capability and professionalism, with inconsistent leadership approaches noted by some employees. There appears to be an imbalance in workload distribution, with high-performing employees often receiving additional responsibilities, and staff shortages leading to excessive workloads in some units. Internal communication could be improved, with some employees noting unclear information and unsystematic work processes. Additionally, compensation levels, bonuses, and pay rises could be more competitive, and work-life balance can be challenging due to pressure to meet deadlines. Some employees also note that the company maintains a conventional approach, with processes that could benefit from modernisation.

    Do more, get more work.
The good thingsSalary is paid on time, and most colleagues are friendly and willing to help.
The challengesThere appears to be an imbalance between workload distribution and recognition. High-performing and reliable employees are often assigned additional responsibilities, while underperforming staff face limited accountability. Furthermore, workplace visibility seems to favor individuals who are more adept at office politics rather than those who consistently deliver results.

    The company is moving backwards.
The good thingsOntime salary and easy to take leave. That's all.
The challengesIt’s disappointing to see what the company has become. The HR department provides benefit information that is unclear and difficult for employees to understand, and the details they communicate often do not match what is written in official memos. The company has also been hiring managers who lack capability and professionalism, which has negatively affected the work environment and overall employee experience. On top of that, the management seems to prioritize generating profits for vendors rather than safeguarding the company’s interests. Vendors are not held accountable for their mistakes, even after being awarded and paid for their work, leaving employees to deal with the consequences.

I gained a good sales experiences but they need to eliminate all the old, stupid 'jaga leher masing-masing' culture.
The good thingsSales experiences with gov and private sector.
The challengesPoor communication (internally). Unsystematic work process (internally). Incompetence Manager.
