The challengesMost challenges stem from internal politics in Sarawak Technology projects, which heavily influence decisions and priorities. Management often doesn’t genuinely listen to staff, especially junior employees. Although the company claims to use Agile Scrum, work is still done like a waterfall system because projects follow quarterly and yearly contracts. Mandays are used to force everyone to work at least 7 hours daily, making the system rigid and stressful. Salaries are far below market rate — fresh graduates may earn around RM2,900 while similar roles elsewhere pay about RM6,000, less than 80% of market value. KPIs are strict and often favor middle management, while junior staff are blamed when problems arise. Divisions work in silos, training opportunities are limited for juniors, and fresh graduates frequently handle multiple roles while managers avoid accountability, leading to stress, low motivation, and limited career growth.

Fake Agile, no real support, always stress and burnout, not recommend.
The good thingsTeam colleagues very friendly and help each other. I learn some skills from peer sharing. Even resources not enough, we try to help each other and finish work.
The challengesManagement focus only on save money, not give enough people or tools. Scrum only for show, Agile not real, we not get support we need. Decisions hide in top, we always wait and work extra hours. Hardware, software, manpower all not enough, sometimes we must buy own or wait long. Team burnout and stress very high, no proper help from leaders.
