What’s it like working at Y.S.P. Industries (M) Sdn Bhd?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Y.S.P. Industries offers several attractive benefits including free meals and contractual bonuses, while providing excellent learning opportunities particularly for fresh graduates in the pharmaceutical industry. The company is characterised by supportive colleagues who readily provide guidance, and its convenient location near public transport is widely appreciated. The working environment is structured and stable, with clear processes and procedures in place.

However, employees face certain challenges including extensive documentation requirements and numerous SOPs that need to be followed. The company's traditional management approach can be resistant to new ideas, and some departments experience heavy workload with frequent deadlines. Additionally, while benefits are good, the basic salary could be more competitive compared to industry standards.

Poor management with no clear vision for staff development or future career growth. High staff turnover is common, as employees come and go frequently. The company provides outdated uniforms and focuses on producing low-cost products that fail to stand out in the market. Overall, the workplace feels more suited for entry-level or older employees, rather than those seeking real career advancement.

The challengesIf there were awards for shoe-polishing and brown-nosing, management here would win gold. Sadly, when it comes to real leadership or staff development, they don’t even qualify.

Limited growth and poor sterile department management despite supportive team and basic benefits.
The good thingsFree lunch provided every day, which helped reduce daily expenses and made meal planning easier. For those working the night shift, the company also offered a night allowance, which was a helpful financial incentive. The team I worked with was highly knowledgeable and cooperative.
The challengesAs a degree holder, the technician role felt limiting. The work was more aligned with that of an operator, involving weekly shift rotations. Career advancement opportunities were minimal, and the salary did not reflect my qualification level. The management was poorly organized.
