The good thingsGilmore provides valuable hands-on exposure working with children of varying autism levels, including both verbal and non-verbal students. The role requires flexibility, responsibility, and the ability to manage multiple students depending on daily staffing and class arrangements. HR processes are reliable, with salary paid on time and leave matters properly managed. There is collaboration across departments such as interventionists, therapists, and management, especially when communication is clear and expectations are aligned.
The challengesThe workload can be demanding, particularly when staffing is limited or when taking on additional leadership responsibilities. Team leaders, head of department and senior staff often handle increased responsibilities alongside teaching duties. Differences in communication styles and expectations across departments may affect teamwork at times. Management decisions can also change, requiring staff to adapt quickly.

Not a good place to work
The good thingsThe HR is very helpful. Salary was on time. The perks are pretty good.
The challengesDealing with one of the directors was hard. Listen to no one, but herself and her own ideas regardless of the conditions. The other directors are not much of a help either. The environment was not a good one to grow.
