    Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (Pernas) is an agency owned by the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOF Inc.) with the mandate to lead the development of Malaysia’s franchise industry.Pernas is given the mandate by the government to develop the franchise industry while increasing the number of franchise entrepreneurs through its expertise in providing quality service and products. Pernas also provides guidance and special schemes for franchisors and franchisees and welcomes franchise partners to Malaysia. Pernas Investment Division plays an important role to ensure Pernas' financial sustainability in the long term.Based at the Menara Pernas, Bangsar South City, Pernas also has five corridor offices which are the Pernas Eastern Regional Office, Pernas Northern Regional Office, Pernas Southern Regional Office, Pernas Sabah Regional Office, and Pernas Sarawak Regional Office which are ready to carry out their duty in producing more franchisors and franchisees of international level.PERBADANAN NASIONAL BERHAD, is the lead agency entrusted by the government to promote the development of franchise industry in the country.     The challengesThe absence of CEO and the recent changes in high-level management have resulted in a lack of clear direction and leadership at Pernas. Decisions made seems not for the best interest of the company or its employees. Political issues within the office have created a toxic work environment in Pernas that negatively impact employee's morale and productivity and have resulted in a significant increase in staff turnover. I genuinely hope that Pernas takes these concerns seriously and considers taking proactive steps to address the issues mentioned.
