I’m starting out in finance and just got my first job. I’m wondering which certifications are most valuable in this field. I’ve heard of CFA, FRM, and CFP, but I’m not sure if they’re really worth the investment. Will getting these certifications help me land better-paying jobs, or should I focus more on gaining experience first? Would love to hear from anyone who’s pursued these certifications and how it has affected their career growth and salary!

Congrats on landing your first job! Honestly, the CFA, FRM, and CFP are all solid certs, but they’re a big investment. If you’re just starting out, I’d say focus on getting some good experience under your belt first. Once you’ve been in the game for a bit, you’ll have a clearer idea of which certs will actually help you move up or land those higher-paying roles.

that’s awesome! As for certs, CFA and FRM are definitely valuable, but they take a lot of time and money to get. If you’re just starting out, I’d focus on building your experience and seeing which area of finance you’re into first. Once you’ve got some experience, you can decide if the investment in a cert is worth it for your career goals.

So, certs like CFA and CFP are great for the long run, especially if you want to specialize in things like investments or financial planning. But if you’re just starting, I’d say focus on gaining experience first. It’ll give you a better idea of which certs are worth it for your path. No need to rush into them!
