Hi everyone, I’m an Assistant Producer who worked for almost 6 years +. Being in production field I know I wont last that long, so I’ve started to figure out on maybe a career change. I have applied to many job position for admin, clerical works, non yang call back. Semua rejected macam tu je. I have received comments stating the problem with my resume is employer takut i job hopping, sebab tak ada kerja yang I stay lama (am a freelance) or because I’m in broadcasting field. Disappointed sangat.

Been freelancing for a while now, and honestly, it’s got its ups and downs. Flexible hours, being your own boss—solid perks. But some days, wah, the uncertainty really hits hard. No stable income, clients ghosting, or projects suddenly drying up. 😮‍💨 Sometimes I wonder if I should’ve stuck to a 9-5 for that steady paycheck. Any of you freelancers out there ever regret taking this path? Or is this just part of the hustle we gotta embrace?

Career journey in 2024 Left semiconductor company as a facility technician after 3 years (August 2021-July 2024), then I relocate a new workplace. I expect more because of corporate company. But within probation I get some depression. I don’t know why. Then I resign without any planning. I submit almost 100 per day resume . I regret it why I resign without backup plan. I burnout to find job and at the same time I do job as a freelancer (grab rider, lalamove driver and also lazada driver).
