Hi, nak tanya. Anyone pernah request for unpaid leave from your company for 3-6 months? mind to share how do you convince your boss? I tengah fikir nak buat “reset button” dalam career. Dah 7 years kerja non-stop, i think it's high time for me to take a break sekejap. I have some plans to go backpacking around Asia for few months and the rest nak spend time dengan family & focus on rediscovering the spark in my work. Hopefully, this break will let me restart with fresh energy & passion 🌟

Refresh is always a good things. But it will be hard to find employer who understands this. If you asked me I will resign. Have a really good rest. Percaya rezeki Allah tu tak pernah putus. I'm jobless for months cuma bergantung dgn EIS je sebab company bankrupt tapi macam tak percaya cukup je utk cover my commitments. Nak bersuka ria lebih2 tu tak lah. So meanwhile nak cari keje tu I buat part time delivery utk suka2 tambah duit sampai lah dapat kerja lain. Believe in yourself, believe in Allah

7 tahun straight kerja memang penat. Tapi ambik break tu idea bagus. Cakap je kat boss nak recharge, nanti balik kerja dengan fresh energy.

Its better to resign , cause the enviroment will be change and will be toxic , more painful than ever . before coming back to new work , consider a back up job a month before holiday ends.

Go for it kalau mampu. Break macam ni boleh bagi mental reset, bila balik kerja pun lagi sharp and motivated.

bole je minta but certain company has their own protocol la kan.
1. kena bagi proper reason like why you need to be in unpaid leave, if got any proper documentations it will help
2. can inform them like your kids need attention for certain time of period
3. can just inform that you nak sambung belajar

I apply 2 month unpaid leave. Mula2 bincang dengan superior dia okay tk? Then if dia okay. Apply je sebab bos akan direct superior if i cuti dia bokeh handle kerja i tak.

Better request unpaid leave daripada terus resign. At least ada safety net bila habis break nanti.

Backpacking + family time tu memang best. Kalau boss sporting, dia akan faham yang kadang kita perlu break untuk cari balik spark.
